Wir laden Sie herzlich zu einem inspirierenden Gesprächsabend mit Ruth Ur, Kuratorin und neue Direktorin der Stiftung Exilmuseum Berlin, und Viktoria Bernadette Krieger, Kuratorin der Ausstellung „Vision und Illusion. Architekturfotografien von Hélène Binet“, ein.
Kunstschaffende sind für Ruth Ur zentrale Partner ihrer Arbeit. Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten arbeitet sie in unterschiedlichen kulturellen Kontexten mit Künstler*innen zusammen, sowohl in ihrer Zeit als Kulturattaché für Großbritannien als auch mit ihrer Agentur urKultur. Im Dialog mit Viktoria Krieger spricht Ruth Ur über die zentrale Rolle, die Künstler*innen in Forschungsprojekten und in der Vermittlung von Geschichte einnehmen können. Im Gespräch wird sie anhand ausgewählter Fallstudien Einblicke in ihre Arbeit geben und Erfahrungen teilen.
Im Anschluss an die Diskussion laden wir herzlich bei einem Glas Wein zu weiterem Austausch ein.

We are delighted to invite you to an inspiring evening of conversation with Ruth Ur, curator and new director of the Exile Museum Berlin Foundation, and Viktoria Bernadette Krieger, curator of the exhibition “Vision and Illusion: Architectural Photographs by Hélène Binet.”
The new Director of the Exilmuseum and curator Ruth Ur will be speaking about the important role artists can play in research projects and in communicating public history. Ruth Ur has been working with artists for over two decades in range of countries and contexts both during her time as Cultural Attache for the UK and with her agency urKultur. For Ruth Ur artists are vital partners in her practice. During her talk she will be sharing a number of case studies and ideas with us.
